Thank you Ben.
They wanted a tidal wave.
The got a monster tidal wave. :ocean:
Now they are learning to swim.
Finally.
My apologies again to folks who are on the Jetcoaster…and just wanted some IEM’s :sweat_drops:

Something tells me that that new CFO isn’t exactly helping in stabilizing the situation there.
I would like to say that this should be a wake-up call for them. But from what I hear, every release by them should have been a wake-up call.

I actually think 2 weeks to 4 weeks back most folks were getting no service and now they are seemingly getting on stuff faster.
No excuses for dropping the ball, but from my view it seems better, not worse.
Scared to think of what “worse” even is? Empty boxes with ha ha sucker written on a post it and stuck in the case :skull:

Damnn bro! Thats actually pretty reassuring to see! It does look like they are trying their best to even out any bumps. I have also seen a couple other people say that Ben is pretty responsive and involved in these matters, its actually pretty commendable. I think this stretch of the year looks pretty hectic as well from what SemperMalum says here. Just hope its all G by the time I receive mine :crossed_fingers:

That was funny, and, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t slightly apprehensive as to what my surprise might be.

Question… Does anyone own the deuce and the Aoshida E20 that can verify these wild ass claims going around?

I think it’s frustrating for new people coming into a hobby and want to save up to get a decent iem only to have a reviewer tell them they can get the same iem for $25 bucks.

Sound is subjective, spending money is not. One can tell you “if you like the iem and how it sounds it shouldn’t matter” but in the case of an iem can sound the same as an expensive iem by just applying eq to the cheap iem it does matter.

It’s a subjective hobby with a lot of emotion and little to no objective data.
Don’t get too frustrated. Find folks with a similar library and follow along. It either rings true or it doesn’t.

Beyond specifics, there are so many IEMs out there at this point that bucketfuls of them are going to graph similarly. Deuce, if I recall correctly, was modeled after the Moondrop Variations with various preferential tweaks. Also, just looking at the graph comparisons with the E20, don’t underestimate how much difference those little treble differences can make to what you hear. Obviously, you’d have to hear them both side-by-side, but the fact there’s another IEM out there that graphs similarly shouldn’t really surprise anyone.

Graphs also never tell the full story, unfortunately. It would make things so much simpler if they did.

Appreciate the input fellas. It def is a subjective hobby. To me personally it’s about the money in all honesty as I am sure it is for a lot of newbies.

The Fatfreq Scarlet mini and Maestro mini cost 3x as much as Deuce and I think it sounds better than both. They sold 2500 of each of those sets for over $500 with same DD and shell with a lesser cable.
I have broken open all of their sets besides Grand Maestro and know thr true cost of all 3.
I feel quite comfortable with price to performance,

I feel you. And that is why I and I’m sure other newbies would be confused when someone tells us that you can get the same for much much less.

Here is the thing I have the deuce and I really enjoy them! A lot! They are fun and extremely comfortable.

This was just one of those cases I wanted to ask about because I feel like it’s happening more and more in the hobby.

Do me and you a favor.
Watch folks closely.
Do they like bass? Or do they like it from a particular seller or brand?
Do they dislike collabs or do they sweeten up when it comes from a particular person.
Do they pick at 5Khz on one set but not another?
Is treble extension essential or only when…it’s certain brands/seller?
Do they sometimes talk about music or always…or never?
Do they seem like an asshole? A person whose emotion is trumping music replay info?

Knowledge is power.
Consistency is also.
Honesty is not a habit. It’s a character point.
Don’t give people second chances. You are nobodys mom and your money is not a toy.
Talk to me after a year or so and tell me how it went.
Good luck.
