Iā€™ll stand by my praise of that DD in the Jupiter haha. Iā€™m still sore about the whole release/pricing saga of that set.

I think Iā€™ll be getting the Thie Origin this 11/11 unless they INSANELY discount the Prestige LTD (doubt it). Time to move on from my OG Monarch
(I just really really wish the shells were smallerā€¦the only reason Iā€™m considering another brand)

Yeah, I believe Monarch MK3 are slightly larger than LTDā€¦but then Origin are even larger:)

Could you put up that picture of all the couplers compared? It canā€™t be shown often enough for the people that religiously compares graphs from all over the placešŸ˜„

Scienceā€¦pretty much
Also a WILD ASS level of deviation
and umā€¦my rig doesnā€™t over boost late trebā€¦it is opposite.
Anyone picking at 5 or 6Khz (for example) using their 7/11 generated graph should put the mic, and their crack pipe down and walk away

Itā€™s another example of how much of a hustle this isā€¦not because of the gear but the con men involved.
Leaning on a mic made for hobbiest level and citing it as proof of/for/against your point is fucking fraud.

I hope you got in on thisā€¦ it was a no-brainer after Elon made it passed the bouncer and now heā€™s in the Clubhouse (or White House if you prefer)

112 million initial donation to the campaignā€¦22 billion gross profit after electionā€¦Iā€™d call that a good returnā€¦and I had to pull out the wheel barrel as well

I see a market valuation of 3T dollars in the next 5 to 10 yearsā€¦if you want to retire earlyā€¦nowā€™s your chanceā€¦

Thanks Donnie

Thanks. Waiting for Punch to go on sale

Thanks man!

Yeah, the hobby couplers is the closes thing we have to objectively compare, but even then itā€™s the couplers ā€œsubjectiveā€ opinion we present as evidenceā€‹:sweat_smile:

But if we keep the limitations of the couplers in the back of the head, it is at least an indication! And for my own enjoyment I can compare IEMā€™s I have measured myself with some degree of accuracy.

Finally got my Deuce, been playing for a day.

Bass is pretty great, non-surprisingly. Impactful, authoritative, rumbly yet nimble. Note weight actually quite good despite the tuck. I would still have liked more energy around 200Hz as there is a slight but noticable disconnect between the drivers, causing the sound to lacking coherency. Many songs sounds like they play faster than usual, like at x1.2 speed.

The 8mm DD is however where things are much less positive.
Itā€™s oddly dirty sounding, unrefined, low-res and not very extended. Its low-res quality makes it sound sharper than the graph reveals. It just fails to smoothly resolve the naturally sharp microdynamic turns at the consonants or transients.

I think overall the Deuce is ultimately good but way overpriced and unbalanced in its attributes.
It sounds like its bass driver belongs in a $300 IEM, while its mids & treble driver is something youā€™d find in a $50 IEM, subtracting from the overall experience.

300 - 50 = 250

Yeah I guess it makes sense lol

Should have been priced at $180 at most, imo.
