Not sure how much of a damping effect they have but if needed you could easily just put another filter on top of the existing one there.

I made HiSenior a little mad and woke up to a few messages from them. But they did issue a statement.
As a small, relatively meaningless Audio YouTuber, I consider this a small win.
Now I just need to tell folks to either throw the adapter away or send the unit in for a 4.4 cable and the better adapter.

When comparing it to the Deuce, it has a bit more slam to it (I’m assuming it’s because it has more midbass). But it also doesn’t feel as clean as the Deuce. That razorsharp midbass tuck on the Deuce makes alot more wild than the Punch, but it also makes it less versatile than the Punch.
It feels like they did it, punching up to that certain IEM and having the potential to be a one-and-done IEM but with a bass emphasis.
Btw, the Punch pulls no punches (yes I did that, punch me if you can) in shitting all over poor recordings. I was trying out some of the older Beastie Boys albums and I was not having a good time. Switching over to The Prodigy and I could feel it thump down to my chest.

Fuck companies and anyone who defends them.
We got a couple dudes in here who like to give head to companies, though one of em usually gives the BJ’s on Headfi cuz that stuff don’t work here. (Oh…CanAdA)

Not that timeless I guess, ey? Lol. It’s a third entry now after AE, right?
Was deciding between original Timeless and my HeyDay.
Timeless II looks slightly better design-wise compared to the original imo, but still somewhat odd.
The Punch has more bass impact and a fun, dynamic sound, while the Thie Origin leans more neutral and detailed. The Origin might be better for clarity and accuracy, but if you’re after bass slam, the Punch has the edge!

I’d say the Deuce handles a wider range of recordings nicely. The Punch definitely has stronger bass impact, but it can be a bit picky with recordings. The Deuce just feels smoother and more versatile across different tracks.
