Letās see what comes over the next weekā¦
As with IEMs - to each his own preferences - but for me personally these lyrics are weak - takes 2 and half mins of filler to make a Boosie reference of strength (questionable - last few years of drops have been so bad they didnāt even get blog coverage), TSA dad joke and a run using a disney character metaphor that was popular in the 70s - and does it not once but twice on a lame preset beat, cos itās chill vibes man. Vaughn Ray isnāt bad at all - in fact he has a lot of potential but he also isnāt polished yet and sadly his lyrics and flow are still mostly forced yet forgettable amongst bay area rappers without the cosign. Perhaps this is his jump off pointā¦
As you said they all friends who toured and recorded together before - this feels far more like letās make some money given hip hop slowdown in sales, streams & relevance. We see if a NY younglin responds - then you know itās record label based marketing.
I am going to use full DSP in my flagship IEMs.
The DSP will work like in an automotive system.
That is:
Each driver will be frequency separated.
Each driver will be equalized individually.
This is my vision for the worldās best IEMs.
Oh cool! Will you be implementing it through a DSP cable? Would that require the cable to be nonreplaceable to ensure the proper EQ?
Yeah, thatās right!
The cable will be 8 pin din
the set will resemble Brise Audio - FUGAKU
Iāll have to make the cable myself
That sounds cool, put me down as interested for that project
Yeah, put me down for 1 too
Absolutely loved the review!! You inspire and motivate me to post a review on my Deuce
Awesome, looking forward to reading it
Anatolyi, going all in. Damn!
4 years I punched , kneed elbowed that thing way over 1 million times.
Hung outside too.
Not badā¦buy another
Kiwi Ears had some upcoming headphones shown off at CES, and they are all quite interesting. Most are coming out this month before the lunar new year, including two ANC wireless headphones, a dual DD over-ear closed-back, and a DD+planar hybrid driver closed-back. Also at the show was a planar closed-back which is being tweaked and improved for its release later this year.
Iām tempted by the dark side (full size cans) to give my ear canals a rest from the constant penetration. Good timing
Kiwi ears playing around with hybrid set ups for overhears is so sick. A dual DD is a great idea, just as long as itās tuned correctly of course. I hope theyāre at CanJam in Feb. to try out!
Love me some wooden cups. Not sure about that metalli rim between the cups and pads. Making that matte black would make it more coherent with the rest of the set. Rods for the headband seem a bit short for adjustments. I,m assuming that the headband itself has some springs or elastics in it? (Thinking of the Nighthawks headband rn, which I still love)
Since Iām done with iems for now, Iām on the hunt for a closed back to replace my old Denon AH7200.
Multi driver hps are so damn rare, niceee!
Cant say I remember a dual DD other than those old basshead JVCs.
Wow, these look absolutely sensational. I fw the wooden exterior
I think Softears should start to be more clear with consumer since it soundsā¦like the RSVā¦real good.
I prefer the Tea PRO but the Volume S is quite good. These drivers made for them are good. They should (from next release) start noting the specific drivers.
In a few years they can start to talk about their drivers like the ads on Shenzen for sets that use well known drivers.
I mention this in my video tomorrow.
Good set.
Start building the brand. Internals are everything.
Matee those wooden cups look incredible! (honestly i am a sucker for anything wooden).
I am really looking forward to at least try them on!
