The exploded view made no sense
It actually is not connected to inverted dome but sits on a baffle
There is also a magnet behind the plate.
The pressure fom 10mm driver actually doesn’t really impact the 6mm
GOOD: It is not a glorified dampner
BAD: It’s nothing like the schematic and still makes no sense in that it has no VC but does have a magnet?

It’s not really a 2DD set but the Rinko didn’t really have a planar …it’s “fun with words” time
I bough this while doing collabs for easy bust the guts but it’s good at using the OG bond to re attach.

Anyway Volume S is not a 2DD but a modified 1DD. It is interesting in itself so not sure why they didn’t show the whole thing in exploded view since they showed an exploded view.

Hey Man, I love where you are taking this industry (hobby?). Holding dishonest manufacturers of any product accountable is important. How do we do it? As the Bitcoiners say: “Don’t trust, verify” and then “vote” with your dollar/money. Brand loyalty is a scam companies/politicians/etc. encourage and something we all must be wary of.

The Deuce stuff is worse than folks know. That’s hard to get the mind around but it was just a capital (ad)venture.
Softears weird driver…if it were KZ peeps would be calling it false advertising (it should be that no matter who the company and who says it’s good)
The drivers in a lot of sets are …and how they are described…are what we would call “false advertising”.
Planar without a circuit trace …isn’t a planar
A DD without a VC and mag is not a DD
“Isobaric” is not a new concept
IEM are a wild west and everyone is pushing the bounds.
Send a planar headphone that is some kinda hybrid to resolve and see how that goes
Send a dual DAC with no traces in PCB to one of the DAC to Golden sound and see how that goes.

People don’t demand disclosure, transparency and diagrams.

Just spitballing here, and I’m sure you know infinitely more “inside baseball” that we could even guess but something came to mind:
Not that it excuses any company, but do you know of (or suspect) that any of the cases of ‘custom’ BAs are a means of trying to shield themselves from liability in the event of patent infringement suits? I remember Bellsing getting sued by…Knowles, I think it was? I wonder if any of the IEM manufacturers fear reprisals for using “off-brand” units and being found out, or if they would be immune from prosecution since the “off-brand” companies would be selling the OEM itself. Or would it change if they do knowingly order a customized batch of said “off-brand” drivers?

The R&D was done by Knowles and the IP was stolen and ported to multiple entities includin the company that supports Shenzen Audio and it’s brands. They didn’t reinvent anything. Once several companies tooled up they were ready to get market.
There are few places that make tiny DD and even fewer that make BA.

No, not yet. I have been off grid though and they are on holiday. I was surprised to see Z have it.
And guess a tribrid with Sonion EST and Knowles would be $200 and His Dunu was 6 BA (non specific iirc) and that was $5-600,to tie this together,

Arcadia is probably my favorite set currently, and it is 10% on Linsoul right now ( $180 ), making it an absolute steal.
I am with you, I think Deuce is somewhere around my 6th favorite set, but I have been collecting IEMs for over 4 years, and all but one of those above it, are more expensive. I am also bad at parting with stuff ( I am more likely to gift a set than sell it ), and there were some amazing sets in just the last year.
For as much as FatFreq is bad at shipping stuff, they do make a great IEM, and I am glad that Chris worked with them on it, both in terms of tuning, and pricing.

Damn, that’s dope.
It looks like Bloom just picked up Ziigaat on their store so I’m really hoping they bring a few Ziigaat sets to CanJam so I can hear the Odyssey and Arcadia while I’m there.
