I find it interesting how cp622b and macbeth have BCD vent being on top of the shell firing sound into nowhere while ISN EBC80 and BGVP DMA has their vents near nozzles like Fir’s kinetic bass drivers, so you can probably hear it better. I wonder which implementation is more correct.
They use the same Sonion BA-type BC, I cant really say I know how this type works (seems like a meme to me tbh) but I imagine it should be more effective if its aimed into your ear and not OUT.
Zero info on the driver used…
If it was a bass shaker type BC, then it wouldnt have mattered as much if they implemented the driver well enough to actually vibrate the shell (no chifi has done this so far, but Zempire does).
Canpur worked directly with Sonion/took their advice for implementation.
It’s called a vibration transducer by Sonion. It does that job well in CP 622B
being on the surface that is making the most contact with your pinna made the most sense to the folks that made the drivers
