:100: america is getting played like a fiddle.

A middle-school understanding of economics and a make-believe businessman Trumping decades of alliances. A wealth of soft power thrown into the trash, leaving a delicious vaccuum in its place.

How are you laying all of this at the feet of Obama or anyone else? When the election happened it was clear what was going on and you fooled yourself based on the price of eggs. EGGS. Anyone that was actually paying attention knew there were two choices: TRUMP and his MAGA idiocy or someone with at least half a brain.

I miss driving my son around in those little bike things. We did the same thing him and I… good times :smiling_face_with_tear:

You training weekends, too?

Looking back over my week, I’m always tempted to train at weekends as well; particularly if I missed a day because of travelling for work, like last week, but the ‘body battery’ tracking keeps on telling me I’m “drained” :joy:

I don’t know what it means exactly but I know that I should try and take it easy so I can hit it hard again come Monday morning :facepunch: A great excuse time get some quality time in with Punch before I send it back to it’s owner, too!

My heavy bags and sparring is outside so I grab any chances I can. I’d like to know my body battery…actually i don’t wanna know.

I used to teach college and was on my feet, and didn’t realize how much the difference in activity was when I back behind the desk. It doesn’t help that I was approaching my mid-40s at the time.

I feel seen … but yeah writing code isn’t ideal for activity levels.

I am just trying to get a few miles of run/walk/crawl, at least 4 times a week, and I have started tracking it recently. I have lost about 10 pounds in the last six weeks, so at least I am seeing some progress. I do some resistance band stuff on the off days.

@domq422 I sprained an arch ages ago, and started doing resistance bands because it let me do something without re-aggravating the injury. They have become my goto when I am having a hard time due to temporary strength or range of motion issues. They are also ideal for renters, or during extreme weather.

This is very important, about the only things I do without stretching first are walking or yardwork.

In the past few years I’ve read exercise physiologists are now leaning more towards a good warm up before, think ride a stationary bike for 5-10 mins. or jumping jacks purposefully, and then reserve the stretching for post workout/walk to reap the greatest benefits to the muscles

I’m also a case of slipping in the fittness department after getting a desk job. I’ve spent 15 years crawling around one the biggest ports of europe, always climbing on or off board ships, while docked, at anchor with a pilotboat, once with a helicopter. I crawled through tight spaces, ran around in full hazmat gear in the sun (If you want some real cardio, run 5 miles in a neoprene suit, a gasmask and an airtank). I got put in operations about 10 years ago and CFO about 5 years ago. At first I didn’t keep up any excersize and ballooned up like hell. My knees couldn’t even keep up when I went skiing. Things are better now, but man that was a harsh lesson.

Meanwhile I did no training and this was my breakfast :sweat_smile:

Yeah purposeful movement and/or active stretching before and static stretching after. But then again static stretching before has worked for Olympic athletes for like ever so maybe it’s just splitting hairs and the main thing is just don’t go 100% right off the bat lol

 at least garmin’s implementation of body battery is pretty useless because it tells things you innately already “know” it’s only interesting when you’re sick or badly interrupted to see the extent of how impaired your recovery was from whatever got you.

JD Vance is the epitome of the money-grabbing monkey!
A p*ss poor excuse for a decent human being.

I’d like Hiby to take IEM tuning more serious.
I think they have the means, material and ability to rival Dunu and their (mid fi) custom driver garbage.

If Hiby tuned the latest DD like ARCADIA (for example) at $129 they’d be getting a lot more chatter.
Start tuning with a goal, state the goal, be transparent, squeeze the life outta any and all companies and the bullshit they shove on the market

The latest Hiby has an excellent sounding DD. I think it coulda been a smash with a bit more focus
