Not really a set that vides. Just has a lot of bass. Zempire ZE51B is only one that will dance along the table. The others are very subtle but clear. Unlike Unique Melody and others that are …not doing much of anything

KZ AM16, as much as I despise them, looks like they actually got a very interesting bass BA.
Although I wonder if there is a typo there as the 30095 is a tweeter, at least the one from Knowles. Usually these clone drivers still follow the same naming scheme as Knowles. So a clone 30095 would still be a tweeter like the original…

I get it…but Fatfreq is way more shady than KZ
KZ gave a public apology soon after one of the issues.
They didn’t use a mailing list built on a collab 15,000+ strong and slip stream the apology with a discount for another new set. That big mail list was filled with folks who got LIED TO THEIR FACES THEN GHOSTED againand again

Tyvan Lam, saw a pic and read about it and sent a nebulizer.

Said his kid had the same issue.
2 years later and KZ has never sent me any IEM.

He also outted Truthear as using about the cheapest drivers that can be sourced when in a public back and forth.
I consider Fatfreq to be among the biggest scammers this hobby has ever seen, up there with Larry Ho and Bob from TRINITY.

Now sans the rant, the KZ numbering even if clone is better than “custom” The hobby would be better if reviewers were not ignoring the fact that the internal components are a mystery and they often dont mention that to buyers.
Because they work for the sellers not the buyers.
Kiwi Ears latest is not coming to me because of this issue.
It’s a Linsoul brand basically and the “custom” drivers are something I’d mention
Zeos collab, same. Those drivers belong in $20-$60 sets.

This confuses me a lot since this new design looks completely new to me and I cannot find anything like it in either Knowles nor Sonion catalogues which may mean it is not a copy and actually original…but in that case, why would they NOT tell everyone WHO is making it? Normally that would give them even more credibility…unless they are hiding it cuz they have a bad rep (which clone brands like Bellsing does have).

If they had built up an alternative to Knowles since they stole their data and gears and created names/ series numbers etc, we could talk about drivers over time and evaluate and include the info for buyers to judge themselves as well
The lack of forethought is staggering and quietly moving those cheaper drivers into mid fi and summit fi is inexcusable. It’s a hustle.
KE4 was said to be a great example of good tuning being held back by avg drivers.
Nobody mentioned what EXACTLY was in KE4

The Odyssey sat at my neighbors for close to 3 months…he forgot to give it to me and I forgot I ordered it…
Wife and I were on a rather long excursion so I had UPS drop it off at my neighbors addy and when I got back it went unclaimed and forgotten till a few days ago

Very True.
Many years ago, my first son, John, came up to me on the couch got all comfy in my arms and said “I don’t ever wanna grow up” oh… why? “Because you won’t be able to hold me like this”.
The specialness that is when we are holding our beautiful young children cannot be matched by anything.
My younger son Ben would always come up on my recliner and get cozy when we would watch a movie together, and that would usually be after listening to some music on the big system and they would take turns busting moves trying to outdo each other on the indestructible coffee table. ( Divorced at this point, ex would ave never gone for this …hehe)
So one night Prince’s Purple Rain goes in the DVD player…likely a bit over the rated age for them but it was all about the music with us. Ben gets in his usual position in front of me in the big Lazyboy…digging the film…turns out this was the night and that was the first song that made him cry. Nothing can touch that.
