Option 1 is definitely cool, gives the person in question all the agency. Thanks for the additional info! I find those differences (administrative/legal) to be fascinating.
Congrats on finding your endgame.
Thatâs great! Will definitely see if I can give that one a go at CanJam London (hopefully the line wonât be that long).
glad u found your endgame! What is the dongle dac ur using?
Same. I absolutely love the Origin. I havenât bought another iem since because it feels like there is no point. Not even interested in a sidegrade.
And yeah, theyâre chonky mfrs, but still comfortable enough to wear for 4-5 hours at a time. (for me at least)
Yeah, my grandfather once spent a few years digging out our ancestry because our last name very clearly points to former nobility from before Napoleon focefully introduced last names (it has a âdeâ in there, written with a lower case âdâ). Itâs wild. He ended up claiming the line goes back to a knight who participated in the 3rd crusade. I honestly doubt that is the case since the 3rd crusade was in 1189 AD. Youâd have to be some pretty highranking nobility to have records exist that far back. I ended up going through the paperwork after my grandfather died, but the connections are spotty at best. Nothing definitive to tie our family to that crusader.
Appreciate the kind words from you all!
Itâs Dunu DTC 480
Awesome that youâre enjoying it and find it comfortable. They cooked so hard with it.
Imo Mark II is probably inevitable with their track record of sequels lmao, but I somehow feel like they canât possibly top it and it will just be different for the sake of it.
Was thinking about it for some reason lol
Edit: added reply
Hey Chris,
@hawaiibadboy
Refering to you new Video
Custom Art is the company out of which PMG Audio comes, not Craft Ears
I also Mixed them up before as they are both from poland and start with a C
Fibae 7U is the Custom Art flagship, i think you graphed it but donât know If you also reviewed it!?
Wow, sounds like youâve found your perfect match with the Origin! The way you described the soundstage and bass is really intriguingâespecially the tactile feel with the bone conduction driver. Iâm curious, how do you feel the ESTs compare to other IEMs youâve tried in terms of treble smoothness? And agree, the aesthetic on this is top-notch! Those retro vibes are definitely giving it a unique edge.
Thanks.
I always get them mixed up
I bought the Origin because the bad Fatfreq experience. The deuce was chiped and took forever to talk to anyone. Then the replacement was nasty it had earwax and the left bud was bad. I gave up and got the Origin in December and Flipears Aegis a week now.
'm sorry you went through that epic epic fucking shitshow,
I hope nothing like it from start to packaged private apology bundled with a new set offerâŚever hits this hobby again
EDIT: SZ2kâŚJVC monster bass set?..classic teck and slam right there
Itâs ok I found bone conduction best for me because I watch more anime and when listening to music I use the odyssey.
Wow, so they sent you a used replacement unit? Just when you think it canât get any worse⌠Sorry to hear that!
They took a guys $15 grand and delivered about nada and ghosted for over a year.
They could complete delivery
OR
They could return the funds
They offered 80 cents per dollar âŚ
Thatâs Theft, fraud and extortion.
Not good humans or businees people (as Scarlet mini and Deuce show)
If they were a Chinese company would anyone still consider dealing with them (CoughâŚKZ)
Weird how that works
Deuce was made in ChinaâŚ
Still early do the blue ring is for standing time. Easy ring
I was hoping the app gave me a badge for a perfect April training run but nope
As mentioned, these are the first ESTs Iâve ever heard, so canât compare to other EST sets, but can definitely describe my impressions compared to other treble implementations with DD or BAs, planars. The best way I can sum it up is this: feels like anti-aliasing has been applied, it sounds smoother and rounder without detracting from detail or definition at all, and without darkening it. Very pleasant
And yeah, the huge soundstage jumps at you right away with this one, donât have to look for it. And I definitely attribute this aspect to BC driver, as it is only similar to Fan 3 in my collection, but even bigger and more grand. And for me personally, the tactility is expressed in sort of a 3D feel to the midrange (so more of a perception thing than physical), and in terms of physical feel, in certain tracks it sends like an electric wave down to my chest, an itchy inside feel so to speak. Most prominent with Lady Gagaâs tracks lol, something about her sound takes big advantage of BC it seems.
And because of the soundstage and amazing midbass, gaming with Fan 3 is outstanding. If the in game sound is implemented good, itâs immersive as hell, gives an incredible sense of scale and presence, spatial awareness and rumble. Iâve compared with most my other sets side by side. Just plugged into PlayStation 5 controller. Nothing could touch Fan 3.
If youâd like an example, - Control game. It has huge rooms, super cool ambiance, and very nicely done battle sound effects. And it truly felt like Iâm there, to accurate scale, itâs fantastic tbh.
Havenât had a chance to game with the Origin yet, but oh boy am I excited, since it tops Fan 3 in every aspect.
So true. If they hadnât been operating out of Singapore things would probably look quite different for them right now. Iâve mentioned this before I think but I will never buy one of their products again, not even from a reputable reseller. That wonât amount to much but itâs a matter of principle as far as Iâm concerned.
Thatâs a great analogy with the anti-aliasing. Probably will make it into some manufacturerâs marketing blurb if they happen to come across your comment (something like 'omnidirectional aural anti-aliasing technology)
