They are in your face ear ringing sets. The 2 in the graph and 1 other not uploaded are all very in your face.
I just watched HBB’s review of the STA (which just popped up here as well as I am typing this ) and got the Gizaudio review recommended by YouTube. I decided to watch it to see what the new TImmy (Axel) would say about them. I was expecting a glowing review but it sounded like ‘this isn’t for people who like music’ but phrased differently.
I was watching your review and figured you should have gone with ‘competes with its peers’, the peers in this case being the gazillion versions of the STA/SPA they sell
Dang I think I just heard that graph …
50,000ish Philly folks screaming “Certified Pedophile”
is wild.
His Lawsuit doesn’t seem to be working
Extra little bit of cardio on the drums after work. Looks like Steambreather got my heart rate up this time; even though I totally ballsed it up.
Besides seeing some stores on Taobao (and Hifigo) including TFZ in the title for their products. I found this store which may or may not be their official store and they have TFZ, SUPERTFZ and Earacoustics stuff.

(although only Earacoustics listed.)
I have their STA Hi-End Max it was quite interesting. A bit unrefined in the treble but Bass-Upper-mids is pretty solid. Resolution too. A bit of hit/miss with staging and imaging.
Cuz that is exactly what they (TFZ) were competing against at the time.
Id lowkey buy it for the looks and just put a down shelf on highs
That checks out
@Pasta You can also slap on a 300 mesh filter. They got the aesthetics and packaging part down, but the tuning… maybe next year
Those were the days… I remember liking TFZ No3 relative to it’s competitors.
I have been asked by many companies to do a collab especially after seeing Fatfreq get smothered.
I hit the pause button after that shitshow. Punch/Arcadia were developed paralell .
None of them seeking a collab actually needed one. This company TFZ, actually is an example of a company stuck in the past that could use some help. I’d never do it but they clearly need some advice at the very least.
Who’s the target?
Split the 2 main series SPA/STA into 2 clearly different tuning styles
Watch and see what works best then yeet the sales losers and build around the winners
This isn’t Rocket Science,
It’s not Algebra either though
Pretty simple business acumen
Did my own routine, this morning.
‘Train until we puke.’ Nearly did this morning. Tripod rows were savage.
Not saying the Spa series is tuned good, but I did enjoy it some when paired with something that relax the upper end some(M8T and HA-2A).
I got 4 variants for review, 2 spa and 2 sta, ended up skipping Sta series and made one review for spa with everything combined. The cheapest SPA variants are the most logical, as the sound is 99% the same in limited one and more than double the price…
It should be only the shell material going from plastic to metal, so the sound will be close to the same. Same driver, accessories and all that.
If aligned by dB its not far off the TS-316, I also found ts-316 good but could have been better with less ear gain and SPA has even more. But I know many enjoy this forward upper midrange style, maybe minority but some do. I prefer way less, also a reason why I’m happy for many new sets that have great midrange without this (DX1, Mystic 8, M5E and more).
While the SPA look stylish, the DX1 walks all over it on sound quality. And DX1 midrange is how it should be done
I agree the DX1 is a much more pleasant tuning. Driver sounds better as well. Not sure why DX1 isn’t available all over the place? Seems like a slow rollout.
They had some issues with delivery for parts for the manufacturing, it should be out in maybe week or two now
