Bad Guy Good Audio Reviews (A Million views?) Part 3/4

Or the second earpiece that didn’t fall apart of course

I don’t think I have watched a full review since Kai was born.
It’s a cool design for modders. Anyone who wanted to secure it for good could do it easy with a resin or silicon.
Hope the fam is doing good :100:

Managed to get an hour in this morning. Half physio but it still got my HR up :muscle:

I have been in a dialogue for 2 days with a group who run the biggest manufacture of balanced armature drivers.

After some discussion which was all over the place and after realizing that I m not making any claims about anything really, the conversation was had.

They are already in the process of creating a front end identity. Essentially a “brand “

They consider their offerings to be of different performance levels and charge appropriately which means they have “tiers” They already have series numbers and spec sheets ala Sonion and Knowles. They make drivers for many brands and will leave it to each to decide what level of transaction they use. transaction is used instead of transparency.

I said, most performance goods use the data in marketing. He said, we (China) make most of the things you have on your desk, including your phone.

I have no doubt about that.

They seem pretty confident that they make some of the best drivers in the world.

Very interesting and unexpected development! Interested to see where this goes.

That’s indeed very interesting. The response to your marketing question is a curious one though.

Neat , never played with it since the Switch felt fragile enough.

Btw, someone compared my unit with Timmy’s unit and said they sound very different. :eyes:

I think it was kinda due to language. Basically I took it to mean “we know how business works “

It’s already underway apparently and the data sheets and item numbers are already available to their clients. The transparency/ transaction will depend on the client. So “Custom driver “ will be the start and end of the info for some still. I said that is too bad but it was noted that the city’s past (30 years ago) was a sort of Pirates of the Caribbean situation.

It’s an Oasis for innovation now
I’m just glad that it’s a thing

I’m a bit tired of the “Made in China” stuff since alooot of stuff that is praised and loved is….kinda (not kinda) made in China. :face_with_peeking_eye:

22 day streak
Tomorrow is :cloud_with_rain: so it will be a hot and wet 23rd day in a row

That makes sense (it meaning they know how business works I mean). So they’re basically letting the clients determine whether they can build a reputation for their drivers, at least for now. Which might dissuade some clients from advertising what they’re actually using in turn. But yeah, much better than having audiophile Johnny Depp run the place

I’m a big fan of “lifted mids” RN6 can be too bassy but the mid lift really makes my library seem more musical. (opposite of scoop-thin)Like forward upper mids pushed vocals forward, slightly lifted mids (not mid bass) sounds excellent to my ears

For some reason, the caps reminded me of the SeeAudio Hakuya. Must be the colours they’re using. Just watched the unboxing where you said you wanted to avoid getting water in the nozzles. That reminded me of an issue that seemed to have plagued an older Xenns set, which was being susceptible to moisture damage. Did you ever have such an issue with a Xenns/Mangird pair of IEMs?

No, I just was boxing in the rain and my head was dripping…I didn’t wanna drop to hail mary it’s way right down into the noz while I was doing the vid

Thanks! Was just wondering in case I decide to get one.

Branded drivers :white_check_mark:
Tuned like a flagship :white_check_mark:

Just looked at my fave in it’s price range and another 8 driver Xenns is my fave.
This is 10 drivers and Ima driver whore.
First hour of listening and I’m A/B with Noble Spartacus. It is more my jam than Mystic (and I love that set)

First graph on sqlink, respect!
Can we expect your comparison to the great Tea Pro which is currently my number 1? Can Top Pro be a sound upgrade or is it rather a different direction?

I love the 10k dip to 15k rise, almost sounds like the Meteors treble which is my personal favourite just a little tame on the Top Pro.

The forward mids is how I wish the Meteors sounds. I love how the bass is present and does not overwhelm the mids.

I’m listening to Tea Pro and Spartacus.
I have not changed my target at all since 2022 but this type of mids is my thing so I better update my target. It has the audible and opposite effect of my library than dipped/traditional mids.
I never went for this type of mids on any collab is a regret.
