Bad Guy Good Audio Reviews (A Million views?) Part 3/4

Man I kinda known, it’s rough. I didn’t ask cause I thought you didn’t wanna talk about it.

Also Kai’s face showed you are a great caregiver. Hope for the best for mrs. HBB & Kai.

And like John said please don’t forget to take time for yourself.

Just watched the unboxing. That’s a lot of money for a company that’s unknown. Really curious to hear your thoughts on it especially if those nozzles make a difference.

I think you forgot to open the accessory box

@publicpersonae25

Moritz have a single DD IEM called the Dragon, and a hybrid called Gloria on the market already. I have only heard the Dragon, which I think is good😊

Edit: It says custom BA and planars on their website BTW.

Branded drivers in the $1,200 ish set but “Custom” in the more expensive set. :man_shrugging:

In euros, that’s a 300 difference (looked them both up) before any duties and taxes it seems. It’s hard to fathom they don’t see the discrepancy themselves tbh (but maybe they will reach out to you based on the unboxing). Personally, I find their cheapest set to sound the most interesting. It has a single beryllium plated DD (though the Top Pro is still at the top of my ‘to try and possibly buy’ list).

A lot of companies think “custom” sounds cool and think customers, mostly newbies or the ones who actually don’t care expect it to be better than “normal” drivers.

New full sonion BGVP set, mad unboxing, design and cable. Maybe they didn’t forget to put tuning into iems this time.

China is, generally speaking, very business savy.
The Social Media vids during the start of Tarif wars showing the astronomical markups companies apply AFTER having the product made/built in China was an unforced error that got minds working.

That was a short term “Fu*k you” that really wasn’t a smart move.
It applies to this hobby…what was said.

In a related note…
4 expensive sets (margin monsters) that were due in May are past due…right after this
It’s totally unrelated though

Absolutely. China has always played the long game when it comes to business and supply chains, and those viral “look at the markup” clips might’ve been cathartic in the moment, but yeah…they opened a can of worms. They didn’t just expose margins…they made people rethink the entire value chain.

I quoted you because you put it better than i did…perfectly.

“Gen Z” and the bad attributes of being born in Social media has impacted them too.
That was a total internet trolling. They hurt their clients, which is hurting themselves.
It was kinda stunning to watch.

I’d round up every person who did a stroll through a factory and pulled the curtain back and fire them.
I’d port them to a new company…all of them, then close the company in a way that allowed me to give them no benefits…basically fire them twice.

I spoke to an old head in Shenzen.
They were not amused at all.

Pulling back the curtain like that might’ve felt like a win for transparency, but in reality, it just handed ammo to the wrong people and undermined trust in the entire ecosystem.

I get the sentiment “fire them twice”. When you’re dealing with manufacturing relationships and decades of groundwork, that kind of recklessness isn’t just naive…it’s damaging. No surprise the old guard in Shenzhen wasn’t laughing.

There is the tiiiinyest hope the have custom Sonion or Knowles and forgot to mention it😂

Not really😬

Could be. They said they made the Sweear SR11 which was pricey and had all branded drivers

Should it be branded drivers they sure missed out on a great selling point. (Full disclosure, I don’t mind Chinese BA’s per say, but it is nice knowing what’s in there).

Love your lates video. The best so far video. Wide spectrum of sound signatures. I know a few people who need to see that video😄. (The ones that think you only rec hardcore basshead sets).

Stereotyping folks… completely incorrectly is such a internet thing…since the reality is right there, also on the internet.
look-at

My personal target is “Meta” before anyone used the term…“Meta”
So there’s that

Does NOT really like school at all

He might hate wrestling school even more
Hope not for his sake because he is going

I feel not liking school at that age is quite common, at least in my geographical neck of the woods. As for the wrestling school: seeing that it is more sports related, it’s probably a different thing provided they (the school) have a good didactical approach (I went to judo as a kid but due to my height got lumped in with the older kids which made for a skill gap and therefore a less than enjoyable experience).

We have considered home schooling for a part of his life but for social skill development decided to have him go now and try to be a group member.
Wrestling is to assure he is better than his father (Me). I did boxing as a kid and punched countless folks in the face and neck during my life and regret a lot of it.
I want him to have the skills to neutralize a person like me.
Sweep or double leg take down, get the back, apply a hold and wait for teachers, police, whatever.
Being able to defend and diffuse is a great skill that allows for confidence to build on the basic premise of “I am O.K. in any scenario”
ijimei is a big problem in Japan or more than folks would suspect.
He is mixed race and the potential for him being the target of subtle or overt bias/Racism is real.
Can’t imagine how wild the internet will be in 10 years…it’s a concern.
Mommy was not a fan of the idea until the last 3 months when the “Terrible 2’s” kicked in hard.
He is a really rough and tumble kid.
I will enjoy the 1st time he gets humbled.
I’ll really enjoy him getting over that and returning the favor to his teammate.

I was a Hindu kid in a really really rough, gang-filled high school in miami like those 90s movies would show. The only thing that saved me was knowing more about hip-hop than most of them if not all of them— and the fact that I knew how to burn CDs, LOL. Most of the people at school were actually cool with me and loves that a hindu can school them on hip hop but there were always a few who bullied me.

Looking back, I wish I had known some BJJ back then my life would have been TOTALLY different right now.

Now, I see my son — he’s just like I was at his age: soft-hearted. I’ve told him my stories, and somehow he really understands. He’s so brave and intelligent. He actually wants to go to his kickboxing classes cause he knows he needs it — and I couldn’t be more proud.

Your son going to be great man but just let him be.:pray:t5::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Completely get the social skill development part. Kids over here already go at a young age (daycare type of setup, less of an educational thing). Developing the skills to defend oneself (and be confident in oneself) is something I wish I would have done (but, as I said, bad didactics over here which really makes or breaks the experience). In the scenario you’ve described even more so I feel. It’s unfortunate that being mixed race is such an issue (and something I have experienced for similar reasons). Hope the internet won’t become even wilder though :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:
