For a minute I thought they had added something to the shells only to realise that’s what’s holding them in place. They look stunning and I like the presentation.
I have no idea what kinda time folks are on, I’m posting pics of my incoming set (again)
People being happy on the net is apparently not interesting.
Cope I guess?
Managed to get home a day early from my work trip and got to train this morning Tried some new chest/back exercises out. Didn’t burn enough calories but felt great muscle activation
I’m still not chasing badges yet, but I feel it’s inevitable. The Mrs started wearing her Garmin again at the start of the week and she’s already got the bug! The first day she used it she was ready to throw it in the bin because it under counted the steps she did and so she didn’t get her first badge! She’s so competitive
Absolutely feel this. The gear is what gets you in the door, but it’s the people and shared obsession that keep you coming back year after year. Agree on the IEM front too… diminishing returns hit hard, and today’s mid-fi giants punch close enough to the old kilobuck legends.
100% get that and it makes sense for the manufacturer ie we’ve got them all covered with a flick of a switch. Maybe I’m different but if a company has tuned a set that’s it’s a done deal, any minor imperfections then PEQ if that’s your bag?..but yeah I get it, just don’t want switch clutter tbh
The way I look at it is that a switch is an extra potential point of failure.
Looking back at my party organizing days. Every dj wanted to use a Rodec MX180MkIII mixer, a set of Technics SL1200 turntables and a Denon doubledeck cd player (this was before Pioneer took over that space). Why? Those things had almost no bells and whistles and were almost indestructible.
Man those Rodecs were good. No wonder that they are still sought after today.
Yep I agree, more for marketing than the long term…not for me but most folks have access to PEQ for nowt, if you want to complicate/tune things then fill ya boots
If you’re fat
You are literally killing yourself
Show some respect for life and put down the cheeseburger and go outside and touch grass and exercise.
I do this cycle every year I’ll be down to 57 by July. Like last year
Haven’t seen this type of chart before or checked out my RHR before (I monitor HR using workouts to make sure I don’t “cool down” too much between activities, but not resting) so I had a look in my health app (standard Apple one). I’m turning 36 this year, and apparently my RHR is 56BPM! So that’s good based on the chart. I do very limited cardio though, I do bodyweight and weights the 2-3 workouts a week I get in, I almost never run these days. So it’s motivation to keep my current RHR or even get it lower, to start running more again. The treatments I have to have every 6 months don’t lend themselves well to me shaking myself about for 4+ miles but there’s at least a couple months between each set where I should be well enough.
Something I know I need to improve year after year but almost never see progress in is sleep. 6 hours is a “full” or high night for me and I don’t even have any newborns at the moment as an excuse. There’s just always so much I’d like to do before the next early morning starts.
I can’t get under 57 even when training daily under sun on the blacktop and melting my shoes.
I hate running so 57 is my ceiling apparently. Glad you are staying healthy. Our bodies are temples. I think how seriously we take care of them is a good window into a persons commitment.
Kinda like folks that love pets.
I can relate.
Person that takes care of themselves
I can relate.
In life, the three major pursuits are money, health, and happiness. We usually chase them in that order — but their true importance is the exact opposite.
5’10" so not really.
I think it’s my training.
A Boxer who hates running
Like an Engineer who hates Math.
Maybe with some exercycle I could chip it down o 55 with a 10 mile cooldown after boxing…
I just gave myself an idea.
(Time to see how much the nice new ones cost. I think they got ones where the screen can simulate different courses. That would soothe the ADHD a lot)
I’m one of those people who has a high RHR (cardiologist approved and everything), otherwise I would have qualified as Below Average even when I was going to the gym four times a week, running 5k two to three times and doing core every other day…
I have a varying RHR, like 47 to 67 and I don’t even do trainings because I work 8 hours a day and then I’m with my family. Playing with my daughter.
But it maybe should be considered training, because she’s almost 4 now and very active. Playing soccer with me, running, riding a bike, sometimes we go to the street workout training ground and I need to lift her up to help her do chin ups or go on the top of the Swedish ladder or competing how much push-ups she or me can do. But we usually end up kicking the ball or slaloming between the training equipment with our bikes, or throwing frisbee to each other.
