While still not a fan of switches for reasons stated earlier, expectations are pretty damn high.
Hope the weather won’t get in the way of getting those awards. If you’re going to end your streak at some point, those would make for a great way to cap it off.
Those caps look better IRL than I thought they would.
Tuning looks pretty great, but man those are some chunky (albeit pretty) looking shells… the mk2 and mk3 gave my ears some hell and these look even larger from what I can tell. You wouldn’t happen to have those to do a side by side pic by any chance?
I think folks who were not fans of Cracked Earth Lava and the like…will prefer the more subtle caps.
The bass switch is sick. Very well thought out. Can just reach back and hit it while in my ear
Do you think there is any danger the switch would touch the ears?
No, but I didn’t have much issue with Grand Maestro giant rocker switch…most of the time.
Even if I push my ear into this it is hard to tell there is anything there
Looking forward to hearing your opinions on these versus the Valhalla…I’ve been debating getting the Valhalla as my one and done but with these on the horizons I wanted to see what your opinions are.
I can do that
I have Valhalla Monarch II and III (no OG)
I have others asking for the same comparison (Valhalla) so I can put that in the review
They are indeed larger. Here’s someone’s pic from Reddit I posted here earlier.
Origin - > Mk3 - > Mk4
They look much better irl compared to their promos.
Still prefer resin builds personally, but they obviously had to do something special for the 4th iteration, hence the build and the switch.
I guess it’s safe to say that these will sound good lol, and will find their audience.
A small update on my Origin now that the honeymoon phase is long gone.
Everything I said and felt still stands, absolutely a hit endgame for me. And comfort improved further the more I used them, hours fly by. The puck feels and looks great, but still is annoyingly small lol.
An insane set
Only listening to rumble on
At 1400 it really is another reminder of how ridiculous expensive stuff is
Nobody selling 1-10k is even doing anything evolutionarily.
Rumble switch is an easy flick while in ear
The Cars
The colour of the cable really matches the shells nicely. Same for the yellow tubes on the tips.
There are no skips on the self titled album.
Moving in Stereo is an absolute classic. I’m in touch with your World is another classic with low radio play
It’s a classic LP when the “other” tracks are classics
Absolutely none BIG BAD FACT
Seeing The Cars got me thinking about the 80s (they’re from the 70s of course but Drive came out in the 80s and that was the first time I heard their music). 80s were such a wild time for music with so many different styles and attempts at doing something new. Same for the music videos. Those VH and DLR solo vids were really out there, same for Billy Idol’s. I feel that kind of adventurous spirit was never seen again afterwards, certainly not to that extent. Old man ramblings out
This thread was created for just that
I have a YouTube channel for reviews I wanna talk about music life and family round here
One of my least favorite tracks from DAMN is now my fave….fucking love music
Pretty sick
That’s definitely why most of us (I’d wager) are here (and the fact that this thread has the best vibe IMO). PS That’s one of the great things about music for sure; it can change your appreciation of it over time.
