Bad Guy Good Audio Reviews (A Million views?) Part 3/4

On graph they are similar to Xenns Top Pro. So a comparative can be nice if you own them too.

About the switch… usually I don’t like them but I guess this is the first switch that looks nice and not low quality like switches on penon toys:

Neil and Ozzy are 2 vocal triggers. Love em but bad sets can make them sound especially bad.

Can do.

Yeah…dip switches are ass. They often do very little and are a pain in the ass.
I have turned tthe bass on and off while listening several times already

Well, time to start saving up for these I guess.

It’s not near basshead levels of sub bass in my opinion, but if the bass has substantially better tactility and texture, I could see my self selling the Titans to justify getting the Mona 4s. I’ll forever keep my pair of 2s, but the Titans have taken a back seat for the last 6 months, as hard to admit as that is.

I rest my case…

I’m guessing it’s hot enough over there to have that water evaporate almost instantly… Keep up the :weight_lifting_man:

My favorite track to test in that album is DNA.

That beat switch in the 2nd half of the song is $$$$

Finally scratched the 5 month “I wonder if it’s decent?” Itch that I had regarding your Kiwi Ears HBB Punch collab, bought in Linsoul sale last week.

Certainly enjoying it, that’s me got a trifecta of different tunings that I enjoy for my choice of electronic music.

This is the way. :v: IMO.
Owning multiple sets tuned the same seems like collecting more than anything else.

I am sorry to hear that. I know the shipping was problematic, but that IEM was legit.

I am sitting here listening to Deuce, really enjoying them, and just wanted to say thanks.

I also think you tuned Arcadia too. That is my favorite set, and it was nice to see a bit more mid bass.

Glad you enjoy it. They got 8-10,000 pre orders. It wasn’t the 6,800 they claimed but that is a nothing burger compared to the chaos. If they hadn’t been overwhelmed the whole thing woulda been such an epic win. If the consumer is over it I should just move along but it’s deeper than what is in the public domain so I just stay away from commenting on future releases because the bias is real and would be obvious to anyone who watche me. I don’t want any self pwns like that so just move a long.

I am glad you feel like you got your monies worth :+1:

My respectful counter, is that I have multiple sets with similar tuning for 2 reasons: first being that when I arrive at an IEM/headphone/speaker, with accurate playback, multiple sets aren’t really necessary across virtually all genre.
That is surely not suggesting for anyone else to not go and explore and have fun trying different profiles across all the stuff one listens to, I know I have. Yet for my tastes and library there is clearly a “tuning” that ticks all the boxes, within a decibel or 2, which I love using my eq for, along with “correcting” deviations in recordings and …bass.
It turns out I sold all my sets that had “unique/niche” tunings that didn’t tick as many boxes, although they sounded awesome in some areas. Those sets I felt like I was just collecting. And I have to say there is serious joy in selling things cheaply over here to folks without tons of cash that otherwise would not get to experience.
The second reason is everything else beside the tuning, such as, I have a set for watching on the ipad, it’s not so resolute as to distract from badly recorded dialog on shows and movies , super comfy, can drop a bomb when called for and sounds awesome on well recorded concerts. Have another that goes outside when I’m doing the dirty work, spray from the power washer, an occasional bit of paint , grass or mud, it’s all good. ( That used to be the TRI KAI btw)
My Tea Pro is flat out comfy with great playback so, lying down or not feeling so well as to jam in the Valhalla. Valhalla not as great for any of the other reasons but just the sheer joy of listening, that set is hard to wear sometimes, it’s big for me, or the nozzles are, but clearly king of my small collection.

Turns out the finish on Kai was seriously delicate, they started to look terrible so… I just kept removing and stopped at grunge?

On the train, listening to some CASIOPEA… maybe music was the answer all along. I think the best sets are the ones that get out of the way of your enjoyment. My brief stint with meta had me feeling that way. It’s also part of why I strongly believe comfort is king. Why I’d pick something like meta over a monarch/622b/whatever any day. No point owning something that hurts my ear! (The curse of small ears :pensive:)

What are we all listening to lately?

How about both. I kind of like the collecting aspect of things, but I also try to diversify as much as possible.

I do try to keep my hoarding in check by exclusively keeping my iems in here and not expanding. If all boxes are full and I want to add something new, something has to go.
