Another embarrassing Head-fi reach around

I generally had solid experience with dhl but when i picked grand maestro from headfi which is still most expensive iem i tried it came completely torn . Sure dude packaging was total shit but still it looked like someone played rugby with it

That sucks. I once had them open a package to shove the contents into my mailbox. Which constitutes a felony over here (probably in most countries I assume).

The reaching around part explains the expression in the profile pic I guess? :person_facepalming: :joy:

I like haggis very much, but Irn-Bru? Not so much.
I should really go back to Scotland. Last time I was there was 2009 for the Simple Minds concert at Edinburgh castle. Glencoe is one the most beautiful places I have ever hiked in. And in Mallaig I’ve eaten the best fish to date.

Edit
I found some pics from then. Now I want to go back even more.

That concert location was insane (no pics of the actual concert unfortunately. Not my thing, I’d rather appreciate the music instead of filming)

Place with the good fish in Mallaig.

Glencoe

Completely agree. Why spend time trying to catch a snippet of a performance if you can, you know, enjoy it in its entirety?

Yeah these two are quite the pair. Very emblematic of head-fi.org  Two verbose peas in a pod.

I was there too if it was when it :sweat_drops::sweat_drops:and :sweat_drops:’ed lol.

It is :+1: I’ve climbed Ben Nevis ie proper climbed it and looked out over Glencoe from a ledge with a :rainbow: surrounding us with sun and rain…Magic that

OMG. I made the mistake of looking him up and reading one of his EarAcoustic reviews. I’ve seen some wild stuff during my time in higher education but this, this… Not just the style but the spelling mistakes. Makes Chat GPT look like a thespian.

PS Who thinks it’s a good idea to call oneself headphoneus supremus? :exploding_head:

Mum was born in Glen Coe and I was also brought up there and other place’s in Argyll in the 80’s, perfect place for a kid as i was allowed to run totally feral and wild throughout the area, fishing/climbing/exploring on bikes/trials bike/getting lost/getting rescued by the mountain rescue …….oops .

I can’t do city’s for more than a few hours at a time, I get itchy/uncomfortable if I can’t see the hills and trees along with fresh air.

Gonna be nice to add the Cayin DAP…someday.
That’s me checking DHL tracking in the image.

The only updates are "on hold’ not a single other type.
Most bizzare shipping experience ever.

I’d say it’s beyond bizarre by now. I seriously hope I’m wrong but that could very well mean it’s either lost/stolen or damaged beyond recognition. Either that or it’s lying around somewhere and everyone is like ‘nope not my responsibility’ which wouldn’t surprise me. At all.

Maybe stolen

I have researched and not found anything identical ( multiple repeats of “on hold “ across multiple locations ) with no other kinds of typical notification of something departing/arriving/being inspected or any of the other common tracking updates.

I bought this a week ago (8 days and chose the fastest shipping)

I have no idea if it’s stolen, being sent back to Musicteck or anything

Absolutely bizarre

I feel we’ve gotten to the point where the customer is an unfortunate externality to be tolerated instead of the focus of business activity to be properly serviced, which leads to this kind of thing :person_facepalming:
