Casually hooked up the PMG SE after a week with Canpur CP622B Ti.
With everything including this track the whole replay is superior on the Canpur

Reasonable crash out from your friend tbh. Demanding 6k after tax + benefits and bonuses is ridiculous and you bet they wouldnāt even work properly while at it. Sure there can be asterisks here and there if you are very qualified and have achievements already but in that case usually the company itself would have offered you that money themselves, not you demand it.
This is very important tbh and I wish someone had told me this back then when i just started studying. I ended up studying major I wasnāt interested in and even getting a master. While it got me a decent paying job rn (ofc far frm that 6k stuff lol), it still leaves me unmotivated in going to work bcs I donāt really enjoy it + i canāt even remember what I studied at all because I learned just to pass the exam and not understand the thing. But sometimes you gotta do it, especially at the time I was also under pressure from my familyās financial condition that made me dont rlly have any leeway to change major.
Iām now trying to save up and figure out what I really wanna do and learn so I can start asap. I believe there is never too late, but starting early is ofc better.

I have been doing a lot of Cardio (boxing) an carb cutting. Iām going to bulk up now for 8 weeks and gain some muscle mass now that I have cut enough fat and the windowless aircon less mini gym can be used soon. Itās unbearable from end of June to September but I hit 55bpm resting heart rate and an smaller than usual
My wife said she didnāt want to marry a thin guy which is the hint to start bulking up

I was denied health insurance by 2 major insurance companies in Japan and then nobody would touch me.
If I didnāt diet and train Iād be a mini Eddie Hall (Powerlifter frame)
My Wife actually prefers that version of me but I donāt.
Iām absolutely skeletal right now

Still an interesting (somewhat accidental) comparison. Do you feel the PMG outperforms the Canpur by a significant margin on the solid state setting or is it more towards the subtle end of the spectrum?

I always use the same chains PC ( J River) usb to Topping or optical to RME AE
On Dap to Cayin C9ii it was on tube and was clean and engaging moreso than the PMG
Today I realized the error and went solid state and the PMG was better kicker and nearly identical with micro details
Tubes, even those mini ones make a clear and obvious impact. I may have to rethink the Ti ranking as the OG plays better. New gear bias is long gone.

I yet have to try a tube amp TBH (donāt tell anyone, wouldnāt want my audiophile license to get revoked ) Having the Ti make that much of an impact (relatively speaking) is surprising. PS Every time I read Ti I have to think of T.I.P. first for some reason
