This is also a more general issue with hifiâso many ppl who have never heard anything they didnât like. That doesnât mean everything is good, it means youâre bad at listening and donât have a well-formed opinion on what sounds good to you. So-called âreviewersâ who you can always count on to say that this new shiny thing is great.

So true. Thatâs why I decided to only buy gear I can demo first (notwithstanding that there are still some reviewers I trust but you always have to check what itâs sounds like to you given all the different elements that come into play).

I own an M11S and love the options that FIiO gives you when operating it. Not only do you get the double-tap to wake functionality but you can also program what Apple would call the action button to switch the screen on and off, which is really handy. Build is also really solid and the pre-installed screen protector and case make life so much easier (went though all my screen protectors with the DX260 and it still looks terrible with the bubbles and everything).

It is so useful. For some reason, iBasso doesnât use it even though their screens can handle it. No programmable button either, so youâre left with the clickable volume wheel which isnât ideal IMO.

Thatâs somewhat of a surprise. The DX260 and DX180 donât have that feature (Iâve demoed both of them) and all the reviews Iâve seen for the DX340 explicitly state it doesnât have it either. Iâm assuming youâre speaking from experience so that could mean it was added since itâs release (or the reviewers were wrong of course).
Yes. I have both the 180 and 340. I believe it was added, to the 340 only, in the last couple updates, ~3 months ago.

Hope theyâll add it to the other models as well then. I have the DX260 so it would be a welcome addition.

Already decided to never support them again, and their emails back pretending that they care and will do better always get another acerbic reply from me, I donât want them to think for a second I buy into some PR phrases over some actual action.
Kids have more accountability that FatFreq. If one of my kids knocked down the other kidâs tower, what parent would be ok with âoh man thatâs too bad, Iâm sure Iâll do better next timeâ. You can do better this time, if youâre really sorry then help them build their tower back up. If you donât actually want to help all the people youâve wronged and just want to move on to new customers to âdo better next timeâ youâre not sorry.

What is this beautiful thing you have your DAP connected to?
I read somewhere that the 180 and 260 lack the hardware in the display to enable it. Seems one could detect double-tap in software alone though. Perhaps not as efficient but doable nonetheless.
