IMO, they look better ‘in the wild’ than they do in the official pictures used by the retailers. Finish seems to be on par with the price tag.

That’s a marketing blurb right there :muscle:

That is one wild first impression. Good to hear they didn’t disappoint after that wild journey. Is there any merit to the subwoofer sound they were gunning for or is it too soon to tell?

It can slam when needed. The 5x xover would indicte that the DD is possibly being hard cut and not doing anything outside the bass. I have to listen to mose stuff with 808 drops

Bass/Lower mids/Mids/uppermids treb/treb ultra high (or something like that.)
Maybe why thay made the claim.
I’ll enjoy checking it out

I’ve had my joy interupted by non listening drama with lots of sets prior (I’m emotional incase folks have not picked up on that)
Sometimes, rarely, a set washes all that away by exceeding expectations
This set does that.
Disclosure
Paid $3300 (slight discount)
Wild ride shipping
Paid $100 to delivery guy (import tax/duty)
only 77 being made.

I can relate to that. Have had (in my case) technical issues spoil the fun of listening to a new source in the beginning more than once unfortunately. We need more sets like this one IMO; sets that do something extremely well or new instead of the same thing in a slightly different way.

PS $100 for duty/taxes is much less than what we pay over here for shipments from outside the EU. Nice to see that not all countries treat overseas orders like a cash grab.

Will buy 1 more Infinity stone then keep the fave 3 and sell the other 2.
That’s my plan anyway.
No idea what is the 5th set…yet

Time to get a Gauntlet built for these infinity stones

Or ask Pud (https://www.pud.com/) to make some sort of contraption where you can slot in all 5 iems to feed them into 1 nozzle that you can put in your ear.

I can only imagine that it would sound like crap, but it’ll be interesting for sure.

Still waiting for a multikilobuck flagship with a 14-15mm planar for bass…

Beast mode engage:
16 miles from 9000 to 13,200ft. 5 hours total. 27,000 steps. Got destroyed by rain and hail @ 12500ft. Froze to death for a bit. No pain no gain. No excuses! Average of 11.5min miles.

why planar for bass?

Planar bass can be some of the tightest most resolution bass that can be found in anything. There are issues making it happen though. Mostly the good drivers are freakin massive and then you can’t fit much else in the shell.

Would combining it with a dynamic driver work and give better results?

Not really no. I’ve been able to make myself literally sick with the OG s12 and about 20db @32hz. It’s actually unreal how strong they can be. The issue with this kind of thing is the IEM you might do that to would be -20db in sensitivity so at best like 80db/mw. That is asking a lot from your average dong.

I’m pretty sure everyone who saw the ‘We have your package’ was thinking ‘mystery IEM’ Would be fun to rank them in a vid on the getto scale :muscle: PS I am now hungry again even though I just had breakfast…
