I am not concerned about people who don’t listen to Rock/ Hip Hop/ Classical music. Crinear is a company and he’d be remiss to not explore and probe all sectors of the market. I’m an influencer who influences people who share my library . I cannot take their money on my exploration to the profit of a company in China or anywhere else. My adventures come out of my pockets and I don’t take anyone with me
I have a niche in a niche and talk loudly and clearly about my subjective opinions with music as the context and I’m the best at that in the . Everyone in this hobby knows my library ( I give opinions on audio gear ) . No reason to expand the niche I dominate
How are IEMs by craftears? I recently came across their flagship the Craft ears Omnium, saw descriptions like tubeless design and custom acoustic and resonating chambers….. is there actually anything noticable while listening to tubed vs tubeless IEMs and also this stuff about custom chambers…. Could it be all marketting spiel or… actually makes a diff?
The cost is around 2.5K Euros almost 3K USD… ( 7 driver setup 1 DD, 1 Planar ( for lower mids), 5 BA)
“custom acoustic and resonating chambers” is all bs. All iem have “custom” factors like that.
I assume its for the BAs as they are normally tubed and i have also seen much cheaper iems (sub 100 usd) do it without tubes…most of them usually have the BA right in the nozzle though so the tube is not needed at all. If the BA isnt in the nozzle then i honestly dunno why you wouldnt use a tube on it…
I dunno what the effect will be besides that the BA should be less efficient like that. Probably a good method if you want the BA to take a backseat instead.
Here is an ancient (but still damn good) iem without tubes (if the render is correct). Sony XBA-A3 (16mm Aluminum-coated LCP DD + 2 BA (full-range + super tweeter)) from 2014
Oh, I think I remember now, you were saying you wouldn’t like to do a DD/BA collabs, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you don’t like how it sounds.
How’s the treble on this set? It looks perhaps a little zingy on top end. I’ve tried ZiiGaat Crescent which is comparable on graph, but to me it was quite hot after longer listen.
