Balanced cable with normal headphones

So I have consumer bluetooth headphones (Skullcandy Crusher Evo) and I also have the Fiio X5 (first gen)
This mp3-player/DAC has a normal 3.5mm output and balanced 3.5 mm (if I’m not mistaken) and coax out. I’ve been using the normal jack, but I’m wondering if I could use the balanced output. I don’t really understand how balanced signals work with headphones (I do get the physics), so if I were to get a balanced 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm cable, would that result in balanced, or unbalanced sound?

Thanks in advance!!!

I wouldn’t. The Skullcandy’s wired connection is certainly SE only and you’ll short something out if you put a balanced plug in there.
