Bass Canons with great imageing

Very much appreciate your opinion! Maestro mini it is! Question now is what would be a good counterpart to it? ie. a sidegrade to the variations which is less clinical, but keeps somewhat similar clarity, imaging and separation

Agreed on the Minis. You won’t be dissatisfied. Trust :handshake:

Would you say the Oracle MK2 or EJ07M could be a good alternative to the Variations for separation and imaging, but less boring? From your google doc list, it seems like they could be good alternatives

Np!

And EJ07M - it’s the closest in-terms separation and clarity. Also has this cool 3D staging/imaging. Oracle2 has too much treble, and sounds over sharpened and a bit unnatural.

Also that list is outdated I need to redo it haha.

If you are sold on the minis it might be worth waiting to see if their imaging is enough before you put down a bunch of extra cash

I heard rumor of a new one with more trebble extension and mid bass ?

More treble and more bass (not just mid bass). I believe the current convo is that it’s dropping in late spring early summer

MAD24 kills me with low end.

More is good LOL :slightly_smiling_face:

D13 has a lot of bass. And very cheap ~$90.

Haven’t bought them just yet, but you’re definitely right!

How much above 500? There is the mini’s big brother FatFreq Maestro SE.

Been drooling over the SE, for sure. Think the most I’d be willing to spend is around 1200-1300 USD
