I have a pair i ordered back in may of this year and I’ve also had zero issues… very good for the price they are right now
I think its a case of those that do have issues are the only ones that bring up the headphones build issues. these are rather popular cans and considering the amount of issue its not that bad.
Yeah, that makes a lot of sense too. The average consumer is naturally more inclined to write a review warning people then modestly praising a product
but their track record isn’t exactly clean but at least cleaner than most hifiman headphones. cause looking over athe the 6xx and the 58x I see little to no complaints about build. but build can be fixed I can change out the headband re inforce weapoints add dekoni nuggets if it’s a comfort issue and for the money I’m saving on his It’s not a big deal. what can’t be fixed is a driver dying and the he 4xx seems to fine in that front.
I can also agree that they don’t have the best track record, but I do think they have gotten better (somewhat)
you know i wont reccomend any of their cans as a first headphone but would only reccomend them to other collectors because f they do break at least they have other headphones to fall bak on while they get it RMA’D
I still think the benefits outweigh the potential problems
I did it, $117 shipped was too good to pass.
aggreed why I did it
