OK so the cooler master seems better in positioning and sound quality over all, right?
Now with my integrated sound card realtek alc892, do I need the mh752 for possibly better audio quality with its own card or I am fine with the mh751 ?
You don’t need a soundcard they are really easy to drive, the are also really cheap which is nice and have a really good mic, but the K361 or the K371 will sound better, the 58X will give you that nice open soundstage if you want that, but all these choices are good:
MH751 - 70 bucks
K361 - 100 bucks
K371 - 150 bucks
58X - 150 bucks
Choose whichever you want, also yes you will be able to drive all of these with the ALC892
The mh751 should be fine usually the USB dongle they give you sounds awful in the first place what motherboard do you have? And have you plugged in another headset on it and it sounding noisey?
msi b450 gaming plus max, no noising at all i am just worried about sound quality of the mh751/752 will be downgraded
It will not sound horrible. It will sound okay.
-Get a Fiio E10K (external DAC + headphone amp) if you think you need a volume knob (yes, it would probably be really useful in games).
-Get a Fiio K5 Pro (external DAC + headphone amp too) if you want a volume knob and an upgrade in sound quality for cheap.
Honestly I would say just use motherboard audio or the USB dongle on the mh752 over the e10k or fiio k3, it just isn’t going to be a large enough upgrade for the money imo. The mh751 is not ready amp sensitive
Oh, the K5 Pro wouldn’t make a noticeable difference in sound quality?
The k5 pro would make a difference (albeit a marginal one), but the e10k and k3 really wouldn’t for the mh751 for what you would be paying for the dac/amps. The 751 can just run happily on motherboard audio or it’s USB dongle just fine no problems.
I see. Sorry
He doesn’t need a dac/amp with any of those, also not worth getting a E10K, rather get a K3, but the K5 Pro is so much better imo
Nah you should be fine if sounds clean . I used a b350 PC mate for while before my gear and served me well. If it’s a post ryzen board they generally are fine and have better chips than the USB dongles provided
I’ve heard that the included cord with the MH752 version has some noise problems. Might be better to get the regular MH751 version, but it shouldn’t be a problem if it does end up sounding fine. The MH751 doesn’t need an amp to sound good, it sounds great on its own.
It seems that cooler master headphones are hard to find and they are overpriced (mh751-$100, mh752 $115)
With now only mh752 is available, but the gsp 300 can be found everywhere for less ($100) and also there is the gsp 350 (non surround version) same price as mh752
What do you recommend guys?
Get K361 if you want something for 100 bucks
Takstar Pro 82? Because they’re basically MH751s with a “bass” switch. Probably cheaper too.
Zeos also recommended the Turtle Beach Elite Atlas (yes!).
Can be found cheap AF on eBay and the drivers appear to be from Sony.
Actually yes. They are pretty good.
If you want to really just try something that actually hits way, way above it’s price, the Koss KSC75 looks ridiculous but is actually considered a SHP9500 replacement. They are actually really decent for gaming, good imaging. 17USD on Massdrop for the black color with in line mic, 14USD for the silver color on Amazon without in line mic.
If you don’t believe, just watch Zeos’ review on them.
I personally hated em. Lol. Stupid clip and zero bass and sub-bass.
I will buy Koss Portapros or something like that with an actual headband, but KSC75s just reminded me of the disposable 10$ exponent/plantronics/etc. headphones my mom used to buy me.
Well, to each their own. For gaming, they are good though, since they don’t focus too much on the bass.
