It’s in the title, but I’m loving my Elex with the Drop grace balanced dac and a 789… Tell me how to make it better. $1000 max for both. Prefer balanced.
Felkis Elise are be one of the best amping with Focal phones.
For sure the Dac can be better.Some has the the pairing with the Chord Dac and Feliks Elise or Euforia are one of the best for the Focal phones.
Thank you for your response, but that amp alone is double my budget.
A good combination that is mention in this forum is the Bifrost 2 -> RNHP with the Focal Clear.
The bundle is a little over your budget. Maybe a Modius with the RNHP.
I have not used the Elex. I currently own the Modius/RNHP.

I’d second this. The Elex isn’t a very hard to drive headphone so power should be no issue.
There a couple on sale on usam right now.
Another nice combo could be Bifrost/Asgard 3 or Bifrost//Jot 2
I’d you want a less less expensive solution, I ran my Elex off of a D10/Atom combo and that impressed me enough to go pretty deep down the rabbit hole.

Thank you. I ordered the Bifrost 2 last night. In my reading, my dac is my bottle neck. Once I have the Bifrost, the 789 will be my bottle neck. I’ll reserve judgment till I’ve had the Bifrost for a few week. I do have my eye on the Jot though. Thanks again.
