Which are the best earbuds in 2024 & why?

  1. At a little over $100 USD, I have the Longyao Yinman 600 and I love it. Properly amplified (it’s 600 ohms and not at all sensitive), this thing offers TOTL sound for an earbud. I’m talking better than HD650 here. Throw everything you have in terms of souce power at it. Since it has a fixed cable, request the 4.4mm termination.

  2. For around $15, the ultrabudget RY4S 300 ohm edition is very solid, but also requires decent voltage.

  3. Another favorite of mine is the Temperment X6, which can be yours for a little over $30. Very balanced and doesn’t really need a powerful source to strut its stuff.

I consider all of the above to be of the warm sounding, nicely bassy variety that suits my personal preference.
