I find that most of my music lately has been classical / instrumental / opera / epic.
what over-ear headphones, open and closed.
try to recommend what you think is best value for these genre’s more than trying to fit into a budget…but let’s cap it around $1000 +/- 10%.
Classical is a pretty broad category.
Are we talking Orchestral, Chamber music, or Modern Classical Guitar etc.
FWIW I really like the Ether CX for simple mixes like classical Guitar, or lone vocals. There is just a lot of detail and I really like the tonality. My one gripe is I can often “hear” the recording conditions when they aren’t ideal.
I’m still fighting with liking them for general listening, though the stuff I listened last night with them was generally good.
I meant orchestral when I said classical. updated my subject line to clarify that.
as for instrumental I mean more the cello / violin / piano / horns but the sax / clarinet (bleh).
epic is a homogany of such things…though it does go into electronic a bit, where most of my tastes lie in the ambient stuff.
