I find this decade-ago-superhit interesting sounding considering soundstage - in particular a nice efect of very distant snare drum and guitar on far right from 0:48.
I’m just shy of half way through this playlist. It’s exceptional. Soundstage, imaging & dynamics are making me smile.
Amazing music! Thanks for sharing!
Well deserved;
2022 NativeDSD Album of the Year – Vocals
One of the year’s best-selling albums at NativeDSD this year, Ray! rocketed up our Top Selling DSD Best Sellers chart in days and dominated the best sellers list for weeks and weeks. The album stars the popular and talented Carmen Gomes and her ensemble. Gomes uses the album to put her distinctive vocals and style on favorites including The Sun Is Gonna Shine Again, Georgia On My Mind, Willow Weep For Me, and Makin’ Whoopee. Recorded in Stereo DXD and mastered to Analog Tape, this album is one
you will savor again and again.

I enjoyed that one. Well played and recorded!
Part 2 of
Blockquote Discovering the Music of Blues Legend Robert Johnson
has just been released; CARMEN GOMES INC. - STONES IN MY PASSWAY and I can report that it is fantastic. So well played and so well recorded.
I have the CD as well as the 24/352 download both are highly recommended.
It’s a fantastic album and it’s getting top reviews;
‘Carmen sings the blues straight from the heart, profoundly, with authenticity and heartfelt sincerity, eschewing any unnecessary embellishments.
This is so well recorded that turning up the volume knob significantly never makes the music too loud, only more intense.’ JazzFlits’
A true modern classic!
Thanks for sharing. Listening to it right now, and I will definitely listen to this track again when my Atrium arrives.
I know, I can’t wait to get a long listening session in with them. I still have a few more weeks to wait though, they just got to the sanding station.
And the album is getting superb reviews, rightly so!
