Best Value Purchase

Since we are all in a survey mood, I am pretty curious…

What is your best value purchase in the last five years? (insert bang-for-your-buck, diamond-in-the-rough saying here).

Please keep it to new purchases. It just makes me salty to read that someone got heritage Klipsches at their thrift store for $30…

I’d say my NAD Vision HP-50’s. they retailed for $400 when they came out and I snatched new for $124.

I just got the Ananda for 700$ usual is 1000$

Campfire audio comets open box for $100.00

I guess it didn’t specify audio lol

ifi micro iDSD…mint for £250 but sadly no mail order bride lol…(A_D mate please remember MON’s new please no withdrawn post guide :raised_hands:) sorry funny here lol.

For me, it is a tie between 58x + Fiio E10K used for 10 hours for $110 or my new LSiMs for $449. I have been liking them that much.

I would say the value for the BLONs are quite high. I haven’t used $150+ IEMs, but I assume BLONs can sort of keep up, esp with the price.

I laughed too so fuck the PC millennials :+1: lol

I didn’t catch the comment, but I can put 2+2 together

Beyond the obvious KSC75, I guess the next best bang-for-buck thing I got new were the Superlux HD662 Evo. Once these are modded and have a +4/+5 dB boost at 250 Hz, I don’t think there’s any dynamic up to 10x the price that would be as enjoyable without making some trade-off or another. They’re always a joy to listen to. Only thing that ever occurs to me to want more is planar detail, which is a ridiculous thing to ask from a $50 dynamic.

Oh, no. I was just some dumb joke about mail order brides. The follow up is more interesting than my joke, so far!

KSC75 for the win lol

See right now, I am still banking on denial. I have been satisfied with my value-based purchases. If there were more audiophile meetups (like car meetups), I can see myself spending way more after hear what the potential is, lol
Example: I am pretty happy with HD600s. I hear so much hype about Elexs and I know they are better in every way, but I haven’t heard them so have not purchased them yet. Don’t plan to either.

Oh, top of my list are the massdrop 6xx along w/ the DV amp. I could have just stoped there and been happy.

Okay, incoming can of worms…
In YOUR opinion, which model of which separate is “good enough?”
List with price please. Just trying to hear the bang for the buck DAC, Amp, headphones, speakers, etc

Like, my Musical Paradise MP-301 MK3 for $350 is good enough and don’t feel the need to get a $10k+ McIntosh

mh 755’s for $4-$8
