Best way to connect soundbar to PC

Hi all, new here, so please forgive my noobness.

So I’m building a new PC, I want to buy an external DAC but can’t afford yet, so I’m stuck with Mobo onboard audio. I bought a new soundbar, and it has HDMI ARC, Optical and standard Aux inputs. My motherboard has Realtek ALC1220-VB onboard with optical out. Which input would probably yield the best result?

Gaming is my top priority, so I posted here. Anyway thanks in advance. I know it’s far from Audiophile, but I’m just trying to get the best from what I have.

If I was you, I would use an optical cable to connect the computer to the soundbar.
