Beyerdynamic DT 250

Beyerdynamic DT 250 in 80 and 250 Ohm versions

I just heard about these headphones. closed backed. They remind me of the Sennheiser 280 and 300 and the Yamaha headsets. Anyone heard it?

That looks like the cable is supposed to be detachable… but it looks fuckin weird…

The DT 250 was supposed to be Beyers competitor to the MDR-7506. It uses the same drivers as the less modern looking DT 150. Cable is “detachable” but needs a screwdriver to replace.
They are good sounding headphones for $150 (wouldn’t pay MSRP), way less bright than the typical Beyerdynamic and definitely better than the 7506.
However, not the most exciting headphone ever made. The DT 150 has more bass and a wider soundstage while something like a DT 770 adds the typical treble peak ontop of that.
I think value-wise the K371 beats these.

Oh yes it is wierd. The plug supports seperate L/R/GND for the headphone and the mic.

I think this headphone is for technical applications like broadcasting. I posted it because i saw it on a headphone guide as being a good headphone for music also
