Music preference:
Mostly Alternative Indie, Alternative Rock & Synthwave
But I also have a good collection of Hip-Hop, Pop… etc
Sources:
LG G8x

Mangird Tea is 428 USD
Legacy 5 is 281 USD
I’m mostly looking for a
*Balanced sound with good soundstage (does not have to be big, just not intimate)
*Good instrument separation, or something that does not meld sounds too much in complex passages
*I prefer elevated Bass and have used xBass option with some of my previous gear
Thanks for the recommendation. Unfortunately, Dusk and the LZ A7 are not available here . Buying from sites like Linsoul will add heavy Import cost (~100+ USD). Neutral or less Bass should not be too much of an issue, I’ll just use the xBass option on my Hip-DAC. Good bass without using external processing is a bonus though.
I briefly watched some reviews for the Moondrop Variations. Main thing is, that it’s out of my budget. I’m already stretching my budget. I started my search for IEM upgrade with ~150 USD for Moondrop Starfield or TRI Starsea… one thing let to another and I went thru reviews for Spring 2, Tin P1, KXXS… and here we are.
Yup, the pricing sucks at times. Also there’s only one place (that I’m aware of) where you can try out Audio Equipment before purchase and it’s ~900 km away . Amazon does not sell HiFi equipment, so no easy returns.
