Bravo Audio V2 Tube headphone amp

This is a great bargain for music lovers. Only $65.00 on Amazon as of this post. Zeos likes it. I got mine from Amazon. I will forever now have a tube somewhere in my system. I like the warmth, and harmonics that tubes generate. I also like being able to “tube roll” and see what the results are. Look at the reviews on youtube. You will not be disapointed.

anyone know if the Bravo is really able to drive the DT 880 600 ohm? it’s what my bil has right now for an amp. he’s not sure he can swing the hp and a new amp.

Can you afford a Liquid Spark instead? Or a Schiit Magni 3+? Those have enough juice. About $100.

hey Soren…I meant he’s got a Bravo already and doesn’t have the budget for the 880’s and a new amp if it won’t be sufficient.

Oh, my bad, sorry.
I think easier to drive headphones would probably be better then.

are you speaking from experience with the Bravo or just guesstimate based on what it is?

not questioning your advice…it’s likely that the Bravo is not capable, but hearing from real life experience has a bit more weight, hee hee!

Yes, guesstimation, and some advice from fellow audio nerds. I am no expert. :stuck_out_tongue:
So I would definitely see if someone has some experience with it. I do hear that the Ocean is the same as the V2, with a cover, so if that is true, there are some reviews of the V2 you could read and consider.

v2? you mean the Bravo v2 vs the current v3 model selling?

edit - hmmm…he may have an original Bravo, there’s no markings anywhere to figure out what revision he’s got.

Yeah, the V2 is not currently selling. I did see it on Drop recently though, so I know it is still being made. It could be the Ocean and the V2 are the same, just different looks, not sure though.

well, I found a reddit thread from 2013 where someone has a Bravo Ocean and says it drives his DT 990 600 ohm just fine. volume knob is at about the 10 o’clock.
