So I’ve recently helped a few friends with picking headphones, but when i refer them to a review, a lot of the terms, like “soundstage” or a “warm sound” or more technical stuff like impedance, is not something they understand. And googling and trying to figure out what it means is not ideal (it also helps that English is not our native language so its another hurdle).
So i started writing a sort of “audio dictionary” for them (and in general), and I’d love to hear suggestions on what terms you think I should include. Also, im not an audio expert, so if anyone wants to help me with some of the terms, that would be great.
In most cases, I’ve tried to compare audio stuff to food, and it’s kind of a common ground that everyone shares.
P.S the only reviewer that I’ve come across which is an exception to this is Zoes since he uses so many analogies (they aren’t always good or even coherent by human standards, but it seems to work, somehow)
