Cables do make a difference - to a point. Would I buy a 7,000 dollar power cable? Hell no, Not ever. If Iām going that route I will spend the money on a good power conditioner. But that is just me. There are countless other examples but you get the idea. Moral of the story here is that cables do make a difference - to a point. Snake oil is a highly subjective term!

Iām actually excited about you getting the super charger. Iām not much of an IEM guy and I donāt have any super sensitive IEMs so Iād love to hear how much of a difference the super charger makes for them.

I just hope the super charger arrives before i sell my IEMs, they are all listed. I am selling a bunch of stuff to re-capitalize after buying the Soloist, lol

So, i have just received the super charger.
@Dynamic, it did reduce the noise floor on the Zen slightly but the noise is still there. It was not enough to bother me before and now it is even less present, so yep it does help a bit.
For the LCD-X there was also a small reduction on the noise floor on mid gain but not enough that will make me stop using low gain.
So the improvement in noise floor was not night and day and i would not recommend the super charger for that purpose alone. Now the sound is indeed a little different overall, i canāt put my finger on what exactly changed though, i will have to spend a few more hours with it and then maybe A/B.
When the HE6 finally arrives it may also help showcase what the supercharger can do, i will report back once i understand what is going on 
BTW, i tried connecting the Zen and the LCD-X to the Soloist without any DAC connected to it and there was no difference, so the noise is coming from the Soloist for sure.

If you unplug your DAC from the soloist is there still noise?

When I get home Iām gonna try to see if the volume bypass is where Iām getting rid of that last amount of noise cause mine is dead silent on headphones.

LOL, yep there is still noise.
The noise is not a deal breaker for my by any means though, if that is the trade off for all the awesome sound i am getting out of the Soloist, so be it!
For the LCD-X i just run it on low gain and then the noise is gone, i have to push the volume up to 95 though, but i guess that is totally fine, right? Its not bad for either the equipment or the sound presentation using 95.
are you using balanced or single ended cables for your lcd-x and zen?
Balanced for the LCD-X, SE for the Zen
Balanced might quiet the zen.
You will need an OHM resistance adapter if you want to stop the noise on the Soloist with the Zen. Balance is much more noisy than single ended . But you should never use the single ended. Even the manual says itās just for convince but really shouldnāt be used to judge music on it.

yeah itās fine but I do find the soloist to sound better using med gain over low gain so I try to use that as much as possible. and, yes, I find bal to be best on the soloist as well.
I donāt think it will, the HP-2 has some noise on mid gain even with a balanced cable.
I actually came to the same conclusion as you just this morning! I tried to A/B one specific track using low and mid gain and mid gain seems a bit fuller with more bass slam, so i think i will use mid gain even though there is some noise floor.

Is there a down side to using those? Also, is there a cheap one you would suggest so i could give it a try for the balanced output?
Currently both my HP-2 and LCD-X have noise on mid gain even after the super chargerā¦
Thereās slight change to the tuning. But I like what the adapters do. I find with the ZEN and the O2 that they widen the soundstage and instrument separation improves.
