I bought two of these for myself and a friend.
Yeah, no difference between this and putting IEMs in my pocket or backpack pocket. You have to un-tangle everything everytime anyway.
That’s why the audio technica case might be more useful for some. Also it’s a hard case.
If you get an 8c or 16c cable, you don’t really have the untangling issue or much of a protection issue regardless, even with this type of case. Well, unless you’re engage in competitive rockhrowing where you aim at each other’s pockets all day. In that case, you may need one of those hard protection cases. The KZ one is relatively hard as well, anyway. Definitely drop-proof for IEMs unless yours are made of glass.

Aliexpress has some super awesome looking IEM cables. There’s some blue and silver, gold, blue and green and silver, etc.

At a cheaper price I got the Yinyoo 8c ones and they’re very nice quality, and waiting on my 16c since I’m gifting the 8c to a friend with his IEM present. Around $8 and $13 respectively.
A little update. I got the rha t20 wireless and i love them. They use mmcx so can convert back and forth between wired and wireless. I mostly use wired at home, but use wireless at work. I like the sound compared to my ikko and moondrop kanas pro. The sound stage is larger and more detailed. Watching shows with them, i can hear music and effects around me with speech mostly sounding like it’s in front of me. In a good way. I’ve only had them a couple days, but already recommend them. You can get them just wired for like 80$ from rha right now and i think it’s already that discount on Amazon. Just a heads up.
RHA T20i is a wonderful set. I can really recommend it!
