Nunchaku in da house!
what does the spdif mean, you can extract digital signal from usb and just pass it thru via spdif without alteration?
Classy man!!
Maybe the 3.5mm is a combined headphone/line output with integrated spdif optical output?
Edit: On second thought that would be a strange thing to have… input would have been more likely. But I don’t know anything, just speculations😅
No, you’re right!
It’s labled as an output though… Sure hope that’s a typo and it’s an input.
Manual:
Yeah it is an output, weird. Guess it’s use as an input would be severly limited, since it’s already relying on a usb connection for power, so if you wanted to use it eg with a cdplayer or nonusb transport you’d have to plug it into a power supply
Looks like a vape!
very nische function, i wonder if a single person in the world thought thats a functionality USB dongles missing
Not sure if it has it I will check you would have to send signal out of 3.5 as a coax digital signal out to another DAC that’s just weird even Paul from IBasso can’t figure out why this feature exist!
Tonight’s listen IBasso Audio Nunchaku in tube mode and the Fabulous Vision Ears EXT MKII
What a pairing! Yellow and Purple !
The EXT is a killer IEM for $3700 it better be!
Not sure why so many releases these days are a clone of another with just a higher price.
Perfect example is the Hiby Yacht 10 $129 - iBasso Klee $70 i guarantee you it’s the same driver only better tuned.
The Mystic 8 nice comes with cheap necklace and ring for twice what people are asking for a comparable IEM SLT6 also Sonion / Knowles for less than half the price!
First Listen to the $2000 Ari a new DAC/Amp from LOAZ
This one is a well used demo unit.
Some interesting tech.
Definitely a class A amp as it’s warming me up.
It does sound exceptionally good.
Feel like it’s all about the packaging and branding rather than actual performance these days. It’s frustrating when you realize you’re paying extra for a name or fancy packaging, while the sound quality is almost identical to a cheaper option. Honestly, I think there’s a lot of value in finding those hidden gems that offer solid performance without the inflated price tag.
Amen!
The Artti T10 planar is a prime example of a hidden-value gem at $51 that sounds as good as some of the more expensive planars from Letshouer and the like.
That’s because most of the planars are the same drivers just in a different shell. New Simgot another good example.
Anyone else have a Nunchaku? Need you test something for me.
Hey,
First post here so please help me out, are you asserting that the tuning applied yields marginal changes to the intrinsic nature of the sound from the driver? So if I were to apply eq then I could get iems that use the same driver to sound pretty close?
Assuming it is the same identical driver, then yeah you can get it pretty close, you can at least get the same characteristics from it. however, depending on the shell structure and material there may still be some things you cant fully replicate with PEQ.
Yeah, absolutely, I agree with you guys! The Artti T10 and Simgot are great examples of how hidden gems can really outperform the overpriced ones. To finding more hidden gems!
