I don’t want to get super political on this forum, but this REALLY sucks ass if this ends up being the case. Would buying from The Hangout (Singapore) be a workaround, I wonder? Anyone know?

Yeah, I was hoping to get SMLS’s new CD transport, but it is out of stock and the new tariff will be 125% as of yesterday. So we will be paying double or more for some items (depending on markup/profit margin ). China was the only country that the 90 day suspension of tariffs doesn’t apply to.
The used market is about to explode for Chi-fi products.

The used market is going to get more expensive too. Demand for the used gear will skyrocket without enough supply to meet demand.

Pretty much what is happening at the moment. It would cost me 1.5x the price of that SMSL CD Transport in tariffs alone (not including broker fees). Just saw the tariff on Chinese goods was increased yet again today.
That has been done a long time in EU.
