Hey, I’m looking for some advice. I’ve been listening to crappy earbuds on my commute for too long now and so I’m looking to get something decent. My dilemma now is whether to get an IEM like the tin t4 or some closed back headphones. I’ll probably be driving them from my Android phone, even though I’m considering something like the es100. I listen mainly to classical, sometimes jazz, mostly instrumental things. What do you think? If you have any recommendations as to what exact model to get, throw them at me!
If you can catch the t4 for the $89 it’s has been for a while that’s a pretty good iem. Of course the tin t2 and the kz zsx. For closed back options the creative aurvana live ,blon b8, takstar pro 82 , status audio cb1, and ath m40x.
Well as for me when I am commuting, I am either using the SHURE SE215s due to its superb isolation and durability, making it a good commute audio. Though the sounds are a bit dark meaning they are not too lively for me. As for headphones, well I prefer to use the Coolermaster MH751s since they are only my headphones atm. Good for commute as well due to its portability and the long lasting comfort you get from its memory foam pads. Also, I prefer using IEMs in commutes than headphones since you’re not going to attract much attention to yourself and get like rob you of your headphones.
I think that for the price and use cases, if you don’t mind the fit, iems are the way to go, as I think you get better portability, sound quality, and isolation from then at this price
The Tin T2 would be a great starter IEM.
If you want something more fun though, the BLON BL-03 would also be an option, you would just have to get a different wire and tips that fit better.
