Hi all,
I am considering buying a new par of headphones. Preferably below €100, closed back and optionally with a mic. Now that I’m working at home with my girlfriend in a very little appartement noise isolation is a pretty big plus. I do have issues with wearing headphones and I wear glasses, so comfort is important.
The mh52 is a bit cheaper and has the detachable mic, but I’m a bit worried about sound, since I won’t just be using them for gaming, but most of the time for music (alternating between these and Starfields).
Thoughts and advices very welcome,
Cheers
if you want to game, the MH752…if you want to listen to music, the K361. if you want something for both, the Beyer DT 800 600 ohm, but you will need to get an amp like the Schiit Magni 3+ or Heresy to power them.
Those are much more expensive and open back, so I don’t think those will be a good fit for me. I tried the 770 pro in a store once but I found it a bit too dark for my taste and I’m not a big van of non-detachable wires, also it’s €40 more expensive than the cooler master and akgs. Sucks that I can’t compare them, the only place that sells the mh752 doesn’t do returns on headphones because of sanitary concerns.
I do not think you’ll be happy with the microphone from the Cooler Masters for professional purposes. You’d be much better off with a USB mic or lav mic. Perhaps the Takstar Pro 82 and a mic?
Oh no the mic is definitely not for professional use, just for playing with some friends once a week. The working issue is mostly my girlfriend calling a lot for work which is kinda distracting.
Then, the Cooler Masters should be a solid choice (although I prefer the DT770). If you were in the US, I’d offer to sell my MH751. I don’t know about shipping internationally right now though.
Yeah I don’t think that’s the best idea. Plus I’d still have to pay customs even when buying from a person not a company, so I’d have to low-ball you pretty hard to make that worth it. Thanks for the advice
