My compliment to my 1770s are my r70x. Not just in terms of sound signature but also in terms of the actual physical headphones themselves.
The 1770/1990 are similar in their sound intensity and the fact that they are both somewhat physically imposing. Great for the desk, but I wouldn’t kick back and chill listening to either one. The r70x are very elegant physically, very comfortable and light, yet at the same time just as detailed as the Beyers sonically, but much more natural and less intense.
