DAC/AMP for desktop (speakers and hp)

Hey there,

I’m looking for a DAC for my desktop.

My setup:
Cambridge Audio SR20 stereo receiver
Monitor Audio Bronze 2 speakers
Superlux HD681Evo headphones, with Brainwavz XL perforated pads.

The SR20 is a good amp but it needs a DAC. It also it cuts the speakers when you plug headphones, and since I have it in an awkward position beneath the desk, it’s not fun to deal with.

I’m looking for something like the Fostex HP-A3 to use as dac into stereo amp, and headphone amp as itself.
Chord Mojo is also an option, has 2 outputs so I can run headphones on one and the amp on another.

Any other suggestions around the 300USD+ price? (Europe/UK only please)

If you wanted a bit of thx in your life, the monolith thx desktop could be worth considering. The klipsch heritage headphone amp is pretty nice too

Also just sayin, the fiio k5 pro is an option lol

Edit: The schiit asgard 3 with the dac (ak or multibit) is pretty nice too

The K5 Pro was also on my mind, might be it vs. the mojo in the end. A local store has both, might see if they have demo units.
I know I already like the Mojo sound, just not a fan of the battery idea longterm.

The mojo is nice, but you might have some issues. Setting it to line volume might be a hassle, and also you are technically double amping with the mojo and speakers (if that matters to you)

Go DIY

When you have SPDIF to feed the DAC, the LakePeople DAC C410 H could work.
