On high gain you mean? I didn’t have any issue with 32 and 50 ohms on the factory setting - which I’m assuming is low.

I think he’s referring to the higher output impedance of the x6 so anything lower than 80 ohms might affect the frequency response
BTW I’ll be using it for a laptop, I figure the K3 or Q1 mk2 really is more convenient in this case, just really hope I could stretch my budget soon, I’m hoping to remove the hissing noise floor I get from my on-board and to hear that sound quality bliss but I don’t have power-hungry cans as of yet that would benefit if I go for the dac-x6.
In that case one of the Fiio’s is definitely the better option. If you do business travel at all you have an easy setup to take with you as well. Now as to which Fiio, I’ll defer to @M0N.
I mean in that price range I would highly just wait and stretch your budget to a fiio k5 pro, it would really be worth it imo
