Dac set-up for ls50

Two related questions:

  1. How would one set-up an external DAC to a pair of KEF LS50’s? My turntable uses the RCA input.
  2. What DAC would your recommend (<$300) and is one that receives a Bluetooth signal be appropriate?

What equipment do you have? You’ll need to complete the following chain:

Source > DAC > Preamp > Amp > Speakers

Some DACS have a Preamp built in and some Amps have a built-in Preamp. How you complete the chain depends on what you have and what you want to do.

Good question. I have a BO turntable connected to a Sounds Heavenly phono preamp plugged into a Schiit Magni headphone amp. There is a bypass so that the preamp goes straight to the KEF’s when headphone amp not in use.
