Dap plug adaptor...confused

Can anyone explain simply how this works with 2 plugs…guess it plugs into both outputs…so why :man_shrugging:

I saw that and kinda wondered the same thing.

The 2.5mm is to get the balanced signal and the 3.5mm is to get ground. The pentaconn connector has 5 poles, L+, L-, R+, R- and Ground, that allows for true balanced connections. Problem with the 2.5mm connector is that it only has 4 poles so there’s no space for ground. That adapter fixes the issue by getting the ground from the 3.5mm socket.
