Can someone explain to me why boomerphiles love jazz so much?

I’ve been watching a lot of stereophile videos lately and one thing I’ve noticed is all of these guys with $50,000 2ch systems love to listen to jazz music. I personally find jazz to be horribly boring and antiquated, yet it seems like that’s all they listen to, they don’t even play popular music from their time like, Led Zeppelin, or the grateful Dead. And I know if I walk into RMAF in to the Wilson audio room and asked them to put on a deadmau5 track for instance it would be horribly offensive…
