Is a dedicated preamp better than simply using a minidsp (that’s already doing minidsp things) to control volume? I heard from zeos I think that digital volume control literally lowers the bitrate? Is this true? Is controlling the volume using the built in windows volume control different than using a minidsp with the remote for volume control?
