This is quite weird and slightly disgusting, but hopefully nothing bad happened because I really like the choice suede pads and don’t want to replace them.
I recently moved to a 4th story apartment in sunny Beersheba, Israel.
It’s the top floor of the building and it has been around 30-40C lately, and it is mostly BONE DRY here, got some succulents right next to me which didn’t like the fact that I didn’t water them enough before going away for a weekend even though they’ve been watered on Thursday, and started yellowing, dry.
I’ve decided to hang my headphones right on the wall to my left, which is an exterior wall. Note that I have 2 sets of cans, one (1990 pro) with the choice suede pads and a pair of Meze Noirs with some Brainwavz sheepskin pads.
This is what happened over the last few days:
To ensure you that that’s not just because it’s an exterior wall, here’s a photo without the Mezes (they usually sit on their cable)
Also note that they used to sit where my 1990s sit right now as it is my placement for the headphones that I want to use more often in a certain point in time.
Any idea what could be causing this? Should I just get some slim piece of wood to hang on the wall and hang the phones over that? Maybe it’s just the paint or heat or w/e?
And most importantly, should I replace the pads?
P.S. I’m trying to contact Dekoni about this but I don’t really know where to inquire about this other than through facebook messenger.
Thanks!
