Yes, there is a reasonably noticeable delay/latency with most of the denafrips dacs, I wouldn’t suggest them if you are going to be watching movies/tv or playing games often. It’s not terrible, but it is noticeable at times to where it might impede that a bit

Yes, the bifrost has much better latency across it’s inputs, shouldn’t be a problem from my experience

Hi Everyone,

I’m seriously considering upgrading from SMSL SU-9 to the Ares II. I purchased a Denafrips Iris and love the impact it has had on my system. I would love some input in this change. Worth it or not? I’m currently running a two channel system with LS50 and March Audio power amp connected to my iMac.
