I have to ask… Have you actually tried this set yet? I have been flirting with the idea of getting a single DD set and have no idea what to get, so searching for some input. Thanks in advance!

Happened to see your comment. If I may make a suggestion or two, the Sloflo MS001GM and Pentaconn Scyne α01 are two great single DDs (Sloflo is actually Pentaconn as well, just a different branding strat for some reason). The Sloflo has great bass without sacrificing the rest of the frequencies; in addition, it manages to create a sense of spatiality that stood out to me when I heard it last year at CanJam. The Scyne is basically a combination of Sennheiser’s IE600 and 900. It has the visceral bass of the former and the more delicate, airy presentation of the latter. Also heard it at CanJam. The main difference is that the Sloflo could be considered the more energetic one of the two, the Scyne is the more ‘critical’ listening one. I would have bought the Scyne if I didn’t already own the IE600. Still contemplating the Sloflo. And the Silver Flash Canpur is worthy of the praise it receives (blind buy at the price, though there seem to have been some quality issues with at least one batch). PS The Scyne is compact and basically non-existent in your ears.

I haven’t tried them. But @publicpersonae25 gave good information. Otherwise, I own an IE600, which I like very much. :+1:

That is a very good review of the Sloflo indeed (he also did one for the Scyne IIRC).
